Il a passŽ sa vie ˆ crŽer dans la mode et lÕameublement. Il passe dans diffŽrents ateliers de crŽation, notamment chez Dessins Clay et chez Lizzie Derriey ˆ Paris o� il fera une grande partie de sa carri�re au sein de lÕatelier, sa crŽation est infinie. ONNO a ŽtŽ avide dÕutiliser tous les moyens possibles pour sÕexprimer, toute cette Žnergie artistique qui vient de lui. La photo a ŽtŽ une suite logique de sa crŽativitŽ, car elle lui permettait de produire un instantanŽ de son regard sur notre monde. En sÕinstallant dans les Yvelines, il a enfin la possibilitŽ dÕavoir un atelier dŽdiŽ, ce qui lui permet dÕexprimer sa crŽativitŽ picturale sans contrainte et de sÕinvestir dans la photo et de dŽvelopper lui-m�me ses clichŽs en noir et blanc sur argentique ˆ partir des annŽes 1990 jusquÕen 2000. ONNO a travaillŽ avec le danseur et chorŽgraphe Jacques Gaillard, il a rŽalisŽ une sŽrie de clichŽs photographiques avec comme sujet des instantanŽs de danse du chorŽgraphe. La photographie prendra une place importante dans lÕexpression artistique dÕONNO.
Jocelyn ONNO (1931 - 2018), artist's name ONNO, has not stopped creating throughout his life. A former student of Applied Arts, with a degree in Advertising and Graphic Art from Paris, ONNO is no beginner. He has spent his life creating in fashion and furniture. He has spent time in various design studios, notably at Dessins Clay and Lizzie Derriey in Paris where he will spend a large part of his career in the studio, his creation is infinite. ONNO has been eager to use all possible means to express himself, all this artistic energy coming from him. Photography was a logical extension of his creativity, as it allowed him to produce a snapshot of his view of our world. By settling in the Yvelines, he finally had the possibility of having a dedicated studio, which allowed him to express his pictorial creativity without constraint and to invest himself in photography and to develop his black and white photographs on film from the 1990s until 2000. ONNO worked with the dancer and choreographer Jacques Gaillard, he made a series of photographic pictures with the choreographer's dance snapshots as the subject. Photography will play an important role in ONNO's artistic expression.
