Teams of graduate and undergraduate students worked to develop a problem statement, identify stakeholders, recommend a public involvement process, develop evaluation criteria and alternative solutions, evaluate alternatives, select a preferred alternative, and create a grant application.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe course received excellent reviews from the students, who found it useful to apply design and planning  principles to a project.
