Questions from a class project for a Grandchild led Maxine to provide us with a window into what life was like as a young girl coming of age in a pre-World War II era. With some family history prior to and following, she gives an accounting of meeting and marrying the Love of her life. This book also offers a portion of our Father's poetry collection, including the "Fireman's Prayer" poem that is displayed in many firehouses throughout North America and the world.
