Billy Wilson is ready for his wife to come home. All her life, Chloe has battled depression, but this bought landed her in the hospital following a suicide attempt. He and their twin sons, Thad and Chandler, prepare the house for MomÕs arrival home and plan to celebrate as they struggle to move past this, just another hurdle in the familyÕs complicated life.
Not only is mental illness expensive, but it also carries with it a stigma that wonÕt be erased. Billy and ChloeÕs extended family sometimes do more harm than good. Connie is BillyÕs momÑan over-the-top liberalÑwhile Francis is ChloeÕs father, a conservative. The two of them love to argue, sometimes even about Dex, ChloeÕs homosexual brother.
All this added family drama can bring nothing but turmoil and, on occasion, much needed support, especially as the Wilsons fight to survive financially. Through it all, though, the hard times are intermingled with hope and love.
