Our children are losing their childhood and we are letting them. Childhood obesity is at epidemic levels. Children are being targeted by million dollar marketing companies selling junk food and video games, luring their target market into a lifestyle of laziness and un-healthy food. Parents are too busy or choose not to pass on the lifetime lessons of play. Today's children have become reliant on computers, television, video games and smart phones for their activities. It is time to change. We must teach our children the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle. It is time to put down the games, turn off the television and play.
