Co-dependency is sometimes called Ôrelationship addictionÕ because people with co-dependency tend to form or maintain relationships that are one-sided, emotionally destructive and/or abusive. It is both an emotional and a behavioral condition which affects an individualÕs ability to have healthy, mutually satisfying relationships.
Those who have completed this workshop will be able to recognise the basic characteristics of co-dependency, work with definitions to bring awareness and teach clients the basics of mental and emotional self care; assist clients in exploring early childhood issues and their relationship to current destructive behavior patterns; help clients get in touch with feelings that have been buried during childhood and use kinesiology techniques to defuse the past from the present to allow them to experience their full range of feelings again and with new skills reconstruct healthy personal and family dynamics.
