Jesus Flaubert's mother endowed him with his name "...back when she was about the size of a heifer and more interested in gettin' love from the good Lord than between the sheets." His name was only the start of his problems.
Jesus is a 13-year old manchild at war with his small upstate New York hometown. His life becomes entwined with a series of compelling, often strange individuals who lead him to clash with the past that imprisons him. In the tragedy that unfolds Jesus must find light in the midst of his rage and hopelessness. Or his young life will snuff out before it has really begun.
