Owens Family Of Eastern North Carolina is a genealogical book of the Owens Family. It begins with John Owin, Sr. (1708) who came to the new world about 1734 and settled in the Isle of Wight County, Virginia. The family name evolved to Owens shortly thereafter. The book includes 15 generations down to the present. It contains 800 pages of maps, a timeline, a gazetteer, wills, deeds, census records, tax lists, birth certificates, marriage records, death certificates and 5,573 individuals including 715 different surnames.
