This book is a compilation of many facts from numerous sources which are presented in a manor to provide the reader with a comprehensive understanding of the conditions that caused Polish citizens to leave their homeland and settle in the ÒThumbÓ of Michigan. Our Parisville ancestors mostly came from two parishes in the Prussian Partition of Poland: _liwice in the north-central area and Boron—w in the south-central area. The author has been researching the ties between Poland and Michigan for many years, since his ancestors were an integral part of the history of Parisville/Paris Township.
