I am not under any illusion that I have reached great heights in my musical career; this is not the purpose of my book. My hope, as you read this book, carefully, you will recognize this is a book of gratitude to the wonder- ful people who have touched my life with inspiration. I felt kindness, and humility toward me from the pro- fessional teachers who spent time to share their great training/knowledge in their private studios. When with them, I never felt insignificant.
In dealing with the singers to whom I could transfer my assimilated knowledge, I called upon my memories with the desire to do this with the grace I received from my mentors. My affection for volunteer singers who have joined with me through the years have my high- est respect for it is their time, effort and love of singing that have inspired me. We have one shot at this life. I am so blessed to have done what I lovedÑsinging, teaching and directing ensemble singers.
