This book adds more fascinating true life stories of people from the Clonakilty area, as in my previous, well received book ÒIrish Women SpeakÓ, published in 2017. From the farmerÕs wife who set up a Country Bed and Breakfast, the two very different young women who triumphed over adversity and found happiness, to the dedicated Nurseryman who brought poetry, awareness and beauty to gardens and the multi-generational hotelier family that embraced sustainability. It also includes descriptions of places of importance in the townÕs environs, and improvements that were established by local volunteers. Suggestions for other lovely places to visit within a couple of hours drive or less, are also featured.
