From the French Baroque, a selection of pieces by French lutenist Charles Mouton transcribed and arranged for the lever harp. The pieces included in the collection are the pieces that were written out in the Milleran Manuscript collected by Rene Milleran in around 1690. This volume also includes a small number of pieces that are Mouton's arrangements of pieces from Lully's theatrical works.
The music is of an intermediate level of difficulty and many of the pieces included in this volume contain several lever changes. All lever changes are marked, and suggested fingerings for the right hand are given for passages where both treble and bass need to be played with the right hand while the left hand executes the necessary lever changes.
