Derived from the Handley Page H.P.51, the H.P.54 Harrow would equip RAF bomber squadrons prior to the outbreak of World War Two. When declared obsolete in 1939, the Harrow went from bomber to transport, serving through to the end of the conflict in 1945. Harrows were also involved in one of the more unusual anti-bomber tactic; the aerial mine.
