A compilation of two Spanish language textbooks (spines) from the early 20th century. Designed to be used in a SECOND YEAR beginner or novice Spanish class for middle or high school students. To be used as a semester-long or a year-long course, including practice for comprehension, fluency, speaking, and reading.
The textbooks compiled are by Guillermo Hall (Poco a Poco, 1922) and Margaret Caroline Dowling (Reading, Writing, and Speaking Spanish for beginners, 1921).This spine brings together the second half of each of the textbooks.
Our team believes that these three spines offer a solid foundation upon which to build a Spanish course for novice and beginners that should also include interactive teaching sessions with qualified teachers. Our teachers use these spines to offer guided courses rooted in Charlotte Mason Methods and language acquisition pedagogy (primarily Comprehensible Input Hypothesis).
This text has over 140 pages of Spanish text with illustrations, practice for fluency, and vocabulary supports. The authors include high school teachers and university professors (Stanford U. and Boston U.)
