A collection of poetry and verse by Beth Pendleton. "My mother was not perfect, but through my childhood eyes, she was. I knew that I had the most beautiful and talented mother in the world. Her talents were many, whether in singing, public speaking or making tomato soup out of a can. One thing she especially enjoyed was writing and sharing her poetry.
MotherÕs last year of life was not easy. She faced her challenge of cancer with undaunted courage and a bit of spite. About six months into her treatment she transferred her energy into compiling her poems and other writings into a book. She told me one day, while sitting in her doctorÕs office waiting a chemo treatment, that she felt badly she didnÕt have anything to leave her children and grandchildren. She said that the only things she could leave us were her thoughts and feelings expressed in writing. That is how this book came to be." Rita Stevenson
