This collection of meditations is made up for the most part of extracts from the principal writings of Saint Teresa. Those that are not from the writings of the Saint are drawn up after her method of meditation. Thus can be had, in a manual of convenient size, a selection of exercises wherein may be found put into practice the teachings of Saint Teresa and of Saint John of the Cross upon mental prayer.
