Surely you wouldn't expect your child to play soccer well with no practice. Can you imagine just taking him to the game, putting him on the field with no experience and no idea of the rules, and then punishing him for every wrong play? Wouldn't it be better to take him to practice before the game? Children need to practice life skills just as much as, if not more than, sports skills.
