Also, certain interests in land covered by charges such as mortgages and debentures are required to be registered not only in the Lands Registry in the office where the interest is registered but also at the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja, a federal agency which applies the same requirements for registration no matter where the land is located.\u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eMore important, right to acquire interest in immovable property, the most common of which is land, is a constitutionally guaranteed right.
