Twenty six paintings and a bilingual diary (English/Italian) provide an account of Anthony Holdsworth's two and a half month painting trip from Sicily to Normandy with his wife Beryl Landau as well as his subsequent painting workshop on a farm near Florence.
Holdsworth is a well known Californian urban and landscape artist who lived in Florence for a year and half in the sixties helping clean up after the biblical flood of '66. His diary, originally written in Italian, provides an anecdotal as well as an historical perspective on his vibrant paintings.
