How long do you spend preparing for your private audience with the Lord of the universe? How much do you appreciate His undivided attention? Do you listen for His wisdom or just talk at God? Do you tell Him how much you love Him, how sorry you are that you fall short of His standard? Do you pray for others or just for yourself? Do you thank Him for all he's done in your life?
Don't feel too badly. The truth is that most people simply don't know how to pray. The good news is that you can learn how to pray effectively, to hear God's voice and to enjoy the beautiful relationship with God the Father that Jesus modeled for us.
