David Malcolm was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and since 1982 has lived and worked in Japan, the USA, and Poland. He teaches, translates, and is one of the organisers of the Sopot between.pomi_dzy international literary festival/conference. He lives in Sopot, Poland.
