Starting with the WHY:

Time Blocking is a technique in which your are very intentional with your time daily to ensure that you:

1. Stay organized and donÕt miss anything
2. Ensure that your CRITICAL FEW objectives get delivered upon.

How to approach and use the worksheets that follow:

Start by ensuring that you take a solid 15 to 30 minutes to complete these worksheets each morning! This small time investment will pay you back by getting the most out of your day!

The Thought Dump:

This is a critical piece to ensuring that you are getting to true CRITICAL FEW PRIORITIES by first jotting down all the to dos and tasks you expect to see during the day, from the big stuff to the monotonous little things. Once the thought dump is completed, your can then sift through them to focus yourself on the right things and ensure that you are giving valuable time to your most critical tasks for the day!

The Time Block exercise:

Laying out all of your work in 30 minute increments helps you start your day with a visual of whatÕs to come. Plot down everything that is confirmed from conference calls, zoom calls, one on one conversations, school pickups and drop offs, etc.

It's important that you plot it all so that you can identify any white space that you may have to ensure you can insert that time to focus on the critical priorities!

The Critical Few Priorities section:

Once you complete the thought dump exercise and the time block exercise, identify your critical priorities! These are unintentionally numbered because some days you only have one, others three. Ensure you donÕt overcommit here and you ensure that you donÕt try to focus on more than three!

During the 60 days, stay consistent with this morning routine to ensure that you build your time management skills and stay focused on the most critical priorities!

Good luck out there!
