Myra Peppers Weller (1856 -1943) was first born of 9 children to Mary Ellen Prettyman Peppers and her husband John, Peppers in Pekin, Illinois, Sept. 7, 1856. At the age of three she traveled with her parents in a covered wagon to a homestead in Iowa, where eight more children were born to these hardy pioneers.
