My writing quest began when I discovered the three stories my mother, Rita Vos, wrote at Jerry AppsÕ workshop at College Week for Women at UW-Madison in the early 1990s. Her three stories became the inspiration for this book about her life. It was after my Aunt Monie lost her husband Leo in 1996 that Monie and Mom started ending their phone calls with ÒLove you,Ó followed by the other saying, ÒLove you more!Ó This book is dedicated to my mother, Resilient Rita, because ÒWe love you more!Ó Ð Kathleen E.
