Community members from the Town of Newfane developed strategies to revitalize its three village centers: Newfane Village, Williamsville, and South Newfane. This document focuses on the villages of Williamsville and South Newfane. A second document was compiled for Newfane Village. Technical assistance for the work was provided by the Windham Regional Commission (WRC) through a Disaster Recovery grant from the Economic Development Administration (EDA). The grant was designated for communities in Windham and Bennington Counties that sustained economic damages during and following Tropical Storm Irene. Through the collaborative village revitalization effort, specific projects and potential funding sources were identified that would enable representatives and stakeholders of South Newfane and Williamsville to meet their goals of building community and economic resilience.
