Rowan itself is a series of poems about love, loss, release, and understanding. It begs to breathe, and it breathes. It sometimes suffocates, fighting for the very next breath. Overall, throughout this work, it fights, it tries to maintain, it begs and pleads, and then...at the very end, letÕs go. Poetry itself is meant to be a universal language, and hopefully this book talks to you in that very language, of your own heart, of your own wants, of your own desires, and your own longings.
It speaks of what we see love as, what it is, and what it is not,
Therefore taking a path carved of who we are, who we are not, and why.
These may be marked as love poems, and perhaps, in truth, they are;
But if so, I hope they are love poems on every level; which speak of:
Everything good, and everything bad.
They say that the Rowan tree itself is magic.
May the magic within these pages protect and deepen you.
