I have attempted to construct this historical autobiography from family conversations and the stories told by relatives. These are my recollections based on times, places, events, obituaries, scrapbooks, photo albums, the help of friends, co-workers and others who said things that brought back memories.
As the only surviving member of our family with a background in history, I believe I have the responsibility to leave a record of my life and what I know about our family.
For me, life has been a distance run, in which I have received a broad general education, from both formal schooling and life experiences, and as a result, along that run on the road of life, I have been able to apply that educational experience to the uplifting of my community.
