She was easily one of the most successful policewomen of the Golden Age Ð not only because she could solve crimes that seasoned detectives could only scratch their heads over, or because she could flip you onto the ground like you were just a pancake --- but because she was a feature in 75 consecutive issues of NATIONAL COMICS, alongside Uncle Sam and the other heroes of Quality Comics! She comes from a long line of officers in New York, and wasn't going to let being a woman in the 40s stop her from carrying on the tradition. This is the first collection of her exciting adventures ever, and most of these stories have not been reprinted at all in three generations!
This second volume contains stories which are vastly different than the early SALLY O'NEIL tales. Like many in the later Golden Age she has evolved into a more complex and more mature character, appealing to a slightly older audience.
