Born out of the global "dark night of the soul" brought on by the COVID pandemic, Seeing Differently serves as testament to the gifts of insight and renewal that come out of sudden upheavals in our lives. For many during the isolating time of the pandemic, nature provided respite. For the author, it provided something more: an opportunity to experience the spiritual in a creative and life transforming way that launched a community, a new purpose, and a modality to share with others
By approaching the wildness of the world in an attentive, contemplative way and gathering from its Òbones and fleshÓ to create impermanent works that emerge from our inner being, we become re-enchanted with the world and gain a greater sense of our true divinity. Through a practice of kinesthetic meditation, we learn to see with new eyes, and become attuned to the language of our souls. We can experience freedom from old patterns, heal wounds of grief and trauma, and form a sacred relationship that binds us to care for and protect the Earth, our primal source of wisdom.
