Serve, Learn, Grow: The title says it all. This book is a copy of my handwritten journal that I kept during my seven-week journey in Uganda. In this journal you will find pictures, artifacts, and stories that I recorded throughout the service-learning trip. Although this program is organized by Iowa State University, what I learned in Uganda was not the typical textbook information we get from attending classes on campus; it is much more valuable. What I learned were the life skills that enabled me to grow as a person. I hope that in reading this, you will get a sense of what I was experiencing, and I hope that the lessons and stories will inspire you as much as they inspired me to serve, learn, and grow.
