The Seven Souls series is designed for the fifth edition of the worldÕs most popular role-playing game. | Seven Souls: A Most Unusual Collector is a horror-themed adventure for 4-5 PCs starting at 5th or 6th level. It can be adapted into any port city of any campaign setting acting as part one to the Seven Souls series or as a stand-alone adventure. | The PCs are approached by the assistant of a wealthy researcher who offers a substantial amount of gold to perform an unusual task; capture a number of tormented souls that haunt the city and return them for further study and treatment. | Caseron Tionalin has been shunned and called a heretic by the local churches. Arcane schools have also shunned him because of his bizarre theories and even accused him of dabbling in dark forbidden magic. He was commonly called Òthe ghost chaserÓ before he went into seclusion.
Caseron gave a generous donation to many of the local churches and arcane schools that were persecuting him. Afterward, rumors of Caseron slowly diminished and he became mostly forgotten.
Caseron has taken advantage of his life of seclusion to continue his unorthodox studies. He has made enough progress that he is ready to take his studies to the next level. But first, he needs his subjects, a collection of the most dangerous haunts in the city, most of which are commonly known through ghost stories spun by locals while others have remained a secret.
