In ÒS’, Asi Es La Vida (Yes, ThatÕs Life)Ó, ENL students at Fordham Leadership Academy give us a glimpse into their world by sharing their life experiences and points of view. This is a publication which includes two genres: Narratives and Op-Eds. In Part I, these young authors set out to inspire their community by sharing their stories of struggle and change. Few people get to experience the challenges that young immigrants face, and these heartfelt pieces help us understand how these changes motivate them to work harder. In Part II, our writers share their concerns in the form of op-eds. After reading on topics that resonated with them, these students voiced their thoughts on what our commmunity should do to address issues like global warming, discrimination, and LGBTQ+ issues.
