SIGNIFICANT OTHERS AND POSSIBLE SELVES is an interdisciplinary study of QuŽbec cinema, historiography and cultural identity in the period between the referenda of 1980 and 1995. The main focus is on the circulation and creation of myths and historiographical discourses of otherness in/between films and the historical unconscious.
