The ÔSong of SongsÕ is a love poem from the middle of the Bible. It has been accepted as an allegory of the love that God - the Bridegroom/King - has for His people, personified by the Bride. The Bride then also represents the individual soul as well as the Church, Mary being pre-eminent.
