When Boody was drafted into the military during World War Two, Sparky Watts strips\u003cbr\u003e\nwere reprinted in comics by Columbia. After Boody completed his service he went on to script new\u003cbr\u003e\nstories for the comics. Sparky Watts appeared in BIG SHOT COMICS, the first issue of the short lived\u003cbr\u003e\nseries THE FACE and in ten issues of his own series.\u003cbr\u003e\nAlthough he never wore a costume Sparky Watts may have been the very first parody of the superhero\u003cbr\u003e\ngenre. The stories were incredibly well drawn, dynamic and very, very funny..\u003cbr\u003e\nThese stories are a product of their times and there are images and comments that some people\u003cbr\u003e\nmay find offensive. This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated,\u003cbr\u003e\nthese stories are from comic books that are seventy years old.
