Speak, Artifact, Speak is the culmination of a
classroom project with ESL and literacy students at the Alternative Education Complex of District 79Õs GED Plus Program. The authors represent students from across the globe as well as from New York City. The writers were asked to choose an important personal artifact and delve into why it held such signifigance in their lives. They worked intensively and collaboratively to revise, edit, and develop these stories into published narratives.
