Would you believe that a bird would be frightened by a worm, or that a spider would be eaten by a fly? Would you believe that a cat would be chased by a mouse, or that a newt would grow so big that he would look like a dinosaur? If not then you must read this book.
BACKGROUND - Since she was "knee-high to a grasshopper" my granddaughter Evie has been fascinated with The Tales of Beatrix Potter. As soon as she was able to write she filled page after page with stories based upon Potter's characters, but to my eyes the stories lacked structure. Early in 2017 at the age of nine, she and I agreed that in the summer holidays we would write our own children's picture book. We produced a list of fifteen requirements, including, a problem with a solution, emotions, repetition, etc. Our target audience was Evie's four year old cousin Sam, who received his copy on Christmas Day.
