St. Jacques du Var, a unknown hidden village in the south of France populated by hilarious characters and, quite importantly, a goat called Gerard. Soon to be the home of Magnificent Mary and her husband David as they locate there and re-open the old Chateau as an superior hotel.
Based on imagined characters developed during the author's fifteen-year stay in the village of Grimaud (which bears utterly no relation!), readers may think they recognise St.Topaz as St. Tropez, Ramabalou as Ramatuelle, Frein Vite as Garde Freinet and Club 69 as Club 55.
How wrong can folk be?.........
