Stocking the City is an architectural investigation of urban food markets around the world, written during a year of traveling by author Chris DeHenzel, funded by the John K. Branner fellowship from the Department of Architecture at the University of California, Berkeley. Situated as a typological analysis of markets as infrastructures, public spaces and distribution systems, the project asks how food systems in the United States could learn from alternative models that exist in various forms outside our status quo.
