Wendy loves to act silly. Her family does not put with her antics however. At the dinner table, she stares at her brother, pretends to be in pool drowning, and is sent to the spare closet for her display of silly behavior. And at school, she goes to sleep during storytime, and is told to wake up. Wendy gets smart with her teacher, and is sent to Big Time Out, and she starts acting silly again. Her parents find out about this, and are not pleased. Wendy is grounded on the spot. The ending is reference to an ending of a Looney Tunes cartoon by Porky Pig.
