This is a story about a family who started their American dream on a farm in Brooklyn, New York. The author recounts his familyÕs start in America, as best as he can construct it. He continues examining his familyÕs story through the World War II era. This was a period of great change in the Geller family. At the end of World War II, the Geller family farm was turned into a gas station. The authorÕs father bought a home a few miles away from the original Geller family farm when the author himself was born. After a few jobs, the author describes his experiences in academia; specifically at George Mason University, in Fairfax, Virginia. During his stint at George Mason University, the author served in numerous capacities at the university, concluding with the observatory director. The authorÕs life was then focused on his brother, who fought a losing battle with metastasized malignant melanoma. LifeÕs lessons are highlighted in the authorÕs review of his familyÕs life and times.
