Amidst the Digital Age, it has become clear that books in popular culture are commonly used for aesthetic purposes rather than actual reading. Many books produced without proper marketing (perhaps their cover does not stand out from the rest, or the blurb on the back is not interesting enough) fail to sell in the modern market. The decrease in readership of books with no initial following of any sort (an unknown author most often) has prompted a culture that consumes visual-focused books the mostÐÐ ergo the rise of the coffee table book. This interest in the visual over textual is also prominent in modern dating, where apps like Tinder have skyrocketed in popularity.
As a result, this book is a hybrid of these two phenomenonsÐÐa compilation of novels as Tinder profiles (some famous but some obscure); their essence I manifest (some seriously, some not) into profile photos and brief bios.
