Jephthah vowed a gift to God.
But it was his daughter, his only child, required to give the sacrifice.
Or was she?
Did honor require a life?
Did she not have a choice?
Was there not another way?
She asked for two months grace and walked into the mountains
She could have kept walking. Could have gone to the land of Moab or Ammon, or another desert tribe. She could have left, regardless of her fatherÕs disgrace.
She could have traded her fatherÕs honor for her life.
She had a choice.
