This book aims to be a brief and easy to understand approach to the world of those fascinating musical instruments called ÔsynthesizersÕ, making a general presentation of their typology and structure, and trying to explain some of the key points behind their incredible flexibility, versatility and power. Indeed, itÕs probably the musical instrument (including here both acoustic and electric) with the greatest and fastest evolution, despite its quite short history, in which it has reached very high levels of success, from being used only in electronic and experimental music in the 60s and 70s, to being nowadays a fundamental device in the most diverse musical genres.
