The Taccogna Passive House Study examines the indoor environmental qualities (IEQ) of the Taccogna Residence over one year: June 2013 to June 2014. Energy use, thermal comfort, lighting, acoustics, and indoor air quality were measured every three months during each of the four seasons. These results were compared to industry standards. The occupantsÕ use of this passive house directly correlates to the buildingÕs performance. This study examines the usage patterns within the building and performance. The book documents the stories of the occupantÕs interaction with the home to achieve superior performance data. Each section begins with an introduction, a description of the relevant research questions, a testable hypothesis, appropriate methodology, and data analyses.
