This book is a photo expose of street art from Oakland and the surrounding area done between 2008 and 2010. It chronicles 4 distinctive series of work that appeared prominently during this period and had an influence on the cultural, political and aesthetic landscapes. It includes a poignant introduction by Duane Deterville, an increasingly important voice in art criticism especially as it relates to the arts of the African Diaspora.
