A realistic urban fictional drama story set in West Africa and unfolds in Northeast United States. The concept of this book is of a young woman's journey to discovering her identity through teaching. She aspires to follow in her father's footsteps as a social activist/journalist, but then finds her voice and talent in education. The corruption and scandal, she witnessed in her home country's public school system, fuels her desire to gain as much education and experience teaching in U.S public schools, with a plan to return to her home country to join her father and other social actvists to fix the educational system. In time she discovers that there are inherent structural problems in U.S. public school education, deliberately created and otherwise allowed to fester and ignored by seemingly comatose educators in 'high places.'
