This book tells the story of the Sensabaugh family of the mountains of western North Carolina in the 1800Õs. This story, much of it told in their own words in a series of letters from the era, focuses on the ten years just preceding, during, and after the Civil War that tore the country apart, and devastated the Sensabaugh family. It is a true story of faith; of romance; of fear and uncertainty during war; of new life coming into the world; and of death at ages far too young. This is the seventh volume in the Sensebach Family Genealogy Series.
