Having written Marking Time two decades ago, Harry has completed a sequel narrative that mostly describes retirement pursuits, to include trying out as an elderly Jackaroo on a remote Nullarbor Plains sheep station in West Australia; pushing his bike along outback roads through nowhere in particular; trying to locate some 50 former gold-mining towns and researching the history of the 350-mile pipeline that brought water to those parched areas over a century ago.
