Carmen Nieves has led an adventurous life that has
taken her around the world as a professional pirate
performer, belly dancer and entertainer. She came
ashore to FloridaÕs Space Coast, where her adventure
continues. Known in the world of pirates as Panama
Pearl, her goal is to create historical educational
programs to share FloridaÕs rich pirate history with
children and adults. She dreams of creating a
historical pirate encampment to further those goals.
Today Carmen can be seen throughout the state of
Florida at pirate festivals, Renaissance Faires, seafood
& other community festivals, private parties, Cosplay
Conventions and schools with her pirate crew aboard
the beautiful pirate ship, The Panama Pearl, which she
and her crew built with their own hands. She and her
mateys are currently building a second pirate ship, The
PearlÕs Revenge, that will be designed specifically for
parades.
